Soaps' Most Unforgettable Weddings

When it comes to nuptials, it's the surprises that make the day truly great

Usually, weddings are considered to have been a success when they go off without a hitch. Every well-thought-out detail falls into place, just as the nervous couple planned. Of course in daytime -- where that's almost never the case -- it's often the unexpected happenings that make tying the old knot a memorable occasion. Join us as we relive some of the most unforgettable nuptials from ALL MY CHILDREN, GENERAL HOSPITAL and ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

One Life to Live
Natalie & Cristian
Save the Date: October 17, 2003

Super Setting: St. James Church. Shocking Surprise: Having put their nuptials on hold while Cristian's brother battled murder charges, the bride and groom were so eager to get hitched that they'd abandoned their dream of a big wedding. But Viki and Jessica's secret efforts to throw a splashy event paid off big-time for hte happy couple. Despite the bad omen of a broken mirror earlier in the day, everything turned right in Natalie's world when her newfound father, Clint, arrived from London -- just in time to walk her down the aisle! By having both Natalie's reverand brother, Joey, and the Vega family priest, Father Gregory, officiating, the two families' differing traditions were honored, and the lavish celebration that followed showed the newlyweds just how much they were loved. But it was Viki's gift, the deed to the cottage they loved so much, that made them look forward to living happily ever after.

Sunset: Accepting John's wedding present of an all-expense-paid trip to Las Vegas, Natalie and Cristian hopped a plane for what would become an all-too-brief honeymoon. Cris would soon lose his life in an attempt to save his pool-playing bride from a would-be-kidnapper!
